For visitors, whether adults, young people or children, there are many different ways to discover the Technical Museum:
as part of a guided tour, every two months on Sunday family afternoons during a discovery tour with Schmucki der Perlsau and subsequent hands-on activities, or on your own at your leisure. Since the reopening of the house in April 2017, the personal explanations of the museum staff have been supplemented by information media that facilitate independent orientation in the exhibition rooms.
Those who want to make their own jewellery can take part in one of the goldsmithing courses that take place several times a year for a week at a time at the Technical Museum.
School classes and day-care groups can gain insights into the historical and technical background of jewellery and watchmaking as part of "Kitas auf Museumstour", "Technikfieber" or "Abenteuer Technik", they can take part in a guided tour of the museum or make their own jewellery in goldsmith workshops.
